Kankakee County Training Center places a high priority on the removal of all barriers (attitudinal, architectural, employment, transportation, communication, etc.) to people with developmental disabilities within the organization and the community. The purpose of the Residential Program is to provide people with developmental disabilities an opportunity to live in a supported community home environment while providing services that will assist them in becoming independent both socially and economically.

The purpose of the Rehabilitation Program is to provide people with developmental disabilities opportunities for community employment, and personal, social, or community services that will assist them in becoming independent.

The purpose of the Production Program is to provide vocational training opportunities and paid compensation to people with developmental disabilities and at the same time provide the corporate customer with quality products in a timely fashion.
